Cake Decorating Classes

Stark & Whyte is affiliated with Wilton Baking Supplies who host the cake-decorating classes. Let our friendly Wilton Method instructors help you experience the thrill of creating cakes and treats that will delight your friends and family—even if you’ve never decorated before! The Wilton method courses feature:

Here’s how our cake decorating courses work:

* Classes are held monthly. Classes run continuously throughout the year.
* Attendees must participate in 4 consecutive classes, held once per week, for $100 ($25 each) plus applicable taxes, which includes an instruction booklet and kit. Classes must be paid for in full prior to attending the class (no exceptions). This will allow us to reserve a spot for you. Payment may be made over the phone by credit card.
* Participants must complete each level in numerical order i.e. Level 1 must be completed before moving to Level 2, and Level 2 must be completed before moving to Level 3.
* Receive a one-time 10% discount on all our already value-priced products (note: 5% discount on foods, recipe books, and electrical appliances). Class discount cannot be applied to other discounts, promotions, special offers, marked down or sale items.
* We can host French or English classes.
* Classes are only for 16 years+ age group.

Cooking Classes

Stark & Whyte has a resident chef, Janet Spino, who hosts weekly cooking classes at the store using the store’s facilities. Janet is a dynamic chef who holds a DEP in Cuisine d'Établissement and an ASP in Cuisine Actualisé. She was honored as student of the year in both programs. Her experience covers chef-restaurateur owner of her own café and she has worked as a chef, caterer and teacher. She won first prize for an original recipe, in a competition sponsored by the Quebec Poultry Producers in 2007.

Janet's passion for family, friends and food is evident in the charitable and community benevolent activities she's associated herself with throughout the years

COOKING CLASS DETAILS:
* Customers will learn different techniques through demonstration
* 50 $* per person plus applicable taxes. We accept a maximum of 11 people per class. Classes must be paid for in full prior to attending the class. (no exceptions). This will allow us to reserve a spot for you. Payment may be made over the phone by credit card.

* Please note that due to increased food and labor costs, our 2012 price per class will be $50 per person. We have maintained our price since 2008 and this will be our first price increase. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We offer Group cooking classes. If you would like to do a group booking with your friends, family or make a corporate booking, please contact us. We can even cater to your choice of menu!
